These are places I have been to and what I think of them. First I would like to say that I am past the partying out all night days. I am a mom and an entrepreneur. Therefore, the places I enjoy may not be something for everyone. These are spots in the Chicagoland area. All these places can be looked up in Metromix.com for more info on them or even to view pictures if available.

Belicoso Cigar Lounge , located in Tinley Park, IL
I had the best time at Belicoso Cigar Lounge . If you want one of the best cigar stores in Illinois, this is the place. Belicoso has the largest selection of cigars I have ever seen, a luxurious and friendly lounge. There was a Gurkha Cigar event there. I got a chance to sample Gurkha's Master Select and purchased quite a few from Gurkha's collection. Experience feeling like royalty at this place. They are extremely helpful, imformative and welcoming. Also you may find the owner of your favorite cigar here, as oppose to a representative being present. That's how awesome this place is. I ran into the owner of Kristoff cigars, one of the hottest and newest cigars out there. This place is a definite must see.

Club Paradis , former Living Room located in Lombard.
I love this place. It is mostly a 30 and up crowd. It is trendy and friendly. There is valet parking and you have to check your coat. If you come early you are seated. This spot still has the former Living Room decor including the sofas and fire place. The music range from old school, latin and a mixture of pop and hip hop. Plus, I can enjoy my hobbie here, cigars. website www.theclubparadis.com

BeviAmo Wine Bar in the West Loop
I really liked this place. Come early and you can grab a seat and chill with wine or I opted for a pitcher of Sangria and relaxed. I can make better sangria but the place has a trendy and funky decor. I was able to smoke my cigar. Also you can BYOF=bring your own food. Basically when we got hungry, the waitress handed us menus for the restaurants next door. There is music and about 11p a DJ starts spinning. I would say the music is sort of a techno dance sound. There really isn't a place to dance but you might move a bit in your seat or move while standing.

The Motel Bar in River North
I was generous with the one heart. I did not care for this place and probably would not come back unless I was in the area and wanted to grab a drink. I did not think there was enough seating. It is not like you can dance if you stand because the music was blah, blah, blah. They have a burlesque dance show there, though. It is supposed to be dark and trendy but I was not impressed. The bartender wasted a drink on my blouse and even though he eventually said "sorry", he was dry and I felt he had his guard up when he said it. Therefore, please, I would not come back.

Bamboo Room , club in Lombard.
When I want to let my hair down and find a place to dance because I am out in the west suburbs, I will come here every once in a while. The music is hip hop, latin, techno, etc, etc, The crowd is diverse so they try to appeal to everyone. They give out free money on the weekends. They have a couple poles for girls to hop on. Oh, and I can smoke my cigar here! It is a 21 and over crowd. So there are a lot of young professionals. While this isn't how I want to spend my time every weekend, I come here when I want to satisfy my urge to dance. There aren't really any cute guys, though.

Coobah , on Southport
I did not enjoy it. I really felt like I was here to drink and nothing else. Now I am not saying it is based on my color but I did feel a little slighted by the bartendar along with those I went with who were black as well. I felt he was ignoring us a bit and not being attentive at all. The unfortunate thing is we will spend a great deal and tip well! The place was not crowded. It was a Monday night so the lack of attention was not necessary. I have been treated better. Now this place suppose to have great food and its been rated high. While I am sure that may be true, I am giving it a benefit of a doubt. This rating is based on my experience. The decor is cool and it does remind you of being on South Beach. But overall, I did not like my service. Oh, I could not smoke by cigar! NEXT!

Spot 6 for Fetish NIGHT ,
I like these night outs. I can get dressed in a fetish outfit and get tied up. I will be going to more events. It could use a little more warmth but overall people are pretty much minding their own business here. Oh, you may catch a nice show here. This event can be found at www.bondagenightchicago.com

Take Five, on Southport
If you are ok being around what some would say a bit snooty or bougie, then you probably will like it here. I had a decent experience here. There were flat screens on probably every inch of the wall along with a flat screen at each booth. You also have VIP booths that includes curtains and a personal flat screen. The music was hip while catering to a diverse crowd. And the waitress is prompt while working the floor. The bar includes a pool table, plenty of space to pop up from your seat to start wiggling to your favorite song. Oh, I was able to smoke a cigar.

Jeffersens Tap , in Melrose Park
I did not want to give this spot away because hey, this is where I go pretty frequently! Can you tell I was a kid who didn't share? :) The crowd is diverse, friendly and so laid back! This is a great place for a game and drinks. There are flat screens circling the bar area including various spots on the floor. You can pop your favorite song in the juke box or listen to the sound of a DJ from Thursdays until the weekend. There is plenty of floor space to dance and a couple of pool tables to get a game going. If you are looking for a laid back bar in the west suburbs, Jeffersens is the way to go. Besides, I can smoke a cigar here anytime, for now anyway.

Sonotheque, on Chicago Ave
This place is pretty diverse. You can pretty much have any sort of style or look and fit in here. The music consist of dance, latin sounds, house and etc. I checked this spot out on a Saturday Night so other nights may bring something different. If you are looking for a cool spot to dance, enjoy a nice blend, then this spot is definitely for you. And yes, I was able to pull out my cigar here. I gave this three stars simply because I do like to dance a great deal but there were times I was sitting. I could have fell alseep to some of the music. Even though I am not looking for a guy, it's nice to have a view of a handsome man or two but I didn't see any here. Sorry, that's the truth!

Spin Night Club , on Belmont and Halsted
This is a pretty cool place. It is right in the middle of boystown so if you have any phobia for same sex couples, this spot is not for you. They are at their busiest on a nice day or when there is a Cubs Game. Also, the spot gets busy after 11pm on the weekends. There is a large screen that plays alternative music videos or party music videos. There is a lot of bar drinking. There is two rooms that can get pretty packed and same sex bathrooms. This is probably one of the most busiest clubs in the Boytstown area.

Stay tuned for more reviews
